About the venue
The Norwegian Fisheries Museum is located in Sandviken, north of Bergen city center. In wooden warfhouses from the 17th and 18th century, the museum exhibits objects and tells stories from the history of Norwegian fisheries. The museum collections include the archives of the Society for the Promotion of Norwegian Fisheries, established 1879 as the first fisheries administration in Norway. The museum’s closest neighbors are the harbor for vintage boats and the Bergen Coastal Heritage Center, giving the area a rustic and memorable atmosphere.
Directions: Take bus number 3, 4, 12, 16E or 19 to Sandvikstorget (direction north / «Åsane»). Bus tickets are bought using the Skyss Ticket App or onboard. Alternatively, it is a 35-minute walk from the recommended downtown hotel.
