From Bergen Flesland airport to downtown
Bergen Flesland Airport is situated about 16 km (10 miles) south of Bergen downtown. To get to the city center, you have three options:
Light Rail
There is a Bergen Light Rail stop in the underground of the airport terminal. Departure is every 5 minutes in rush hours, otherwise every 10 minutes. The trip to downtown takes about one hour. Tickets for the Light Rail cost 49 NOK and can be bought using the Skyss ticket app, or using a credit card at the ticket machines in the baggage claim area or at the platform. Cash is not accepted. Timetable and prices here.
Airport Bus
The Airport Express bus departs from the front of the main terminal building. The bus drives an express route that only takes 20-25 minutes (depending on traffic, 30–40 minutes in rush hours) to Bergen downtown. A ticket costs 179 NOK. Timetables and more information is found here.
Taxi
Taxis can be found directly in front of the terminal building. Six different taxi companies operate in the Bergen region. If you have special needs, the taxi company will gladly help you, or you can pre-book a taxi from the desired company. Prices vary from 800 NOK to 1400, depending on company and time of day. Some offer fixed prices downtown, which are usually cheaper than driving on the taximeter, but taxi is still the most expensive option. The taxi uses the same route as the airport bus. Check companies here.
